Politics (I know, I hate them too...)

Politics are getting my goat at the moment, politics and backstabbers, but we will leave that to the original post on backstabbers. Oh, and terrorists, please stop cutting peoples fucking heads off... if you must kill hostages, and innocent people, fathers, brothers, sons, at least do it humanely you barbaric animals!

So HRH Princess Anne is in Gibraltar for 3 days and yesterday the Spanish Government complained officially, lodging a formal complaint to Britain. They claim that her visit is insulting to the Spanish people “injuring the sensibilities of the Spanish people.” Today, the Junta de Andalucia (local area politicians) claimed that it is "not very opportune."

So, we can't be independent but we can't celebrate our dependency and ties with Britain, we cannot receive Royal visitors, yet, it would be frowned upon if we denied a Spanish “royal” entrance to Gibraltar... so what exactly can we do?

The way I see it, the question we should ask of the Spanish is not "when would it be opportune, our friendly, fraternal neighbours?" but "what the fuck has it got to do with you, you persistent pains in the rear end?" I don't normally get into the political debate, in fact, I keep as far away from politics as possible, but this has pissed me off.

On national day, I can understand their problem, because when they see the Union Jack, and the Castle and Key flying high, together, in harmony, and the patriotism of the Gibraltarian people they really see what they are missing out on, by being born over the border, by not being Gibraltarian, and how petty they really are. When the red and white balloons go up, and with the light wind, blow over Spain, I can understand why they might get pissed off, when they see that despite all their attempts, we are not down-heartened... but, because some relation to Her Majesty has come to Gibraltar? These politicians really should get a fucking life; there are more worrying things in the world, than some old biddy, visiting a 2.5 square mile rock!
